How Much Is A Bankroll?
Why does everybody acquaint the word Bankroll with a big wad of money? People are always saying that such and such a guy have a big Bankroll.
When you ask that person how big their Bankroll is, the stupid retort is always: "oh, I only have $300 to play with." How come $300 is a lot of money to give to charity at Christmas but it ain't diddily dang when you bring it to a casino?
People jump to the conclusion that certain things are always big as soon as the topic is mentioned:
(a) "I work in an office building." "Wow! How big is it? Is it 40 stories high?"
(b) "Honey I got a raise today!" "Now can we buy that Cadillac like the neighbors have?"
(c) "Dad, I'm having a little trouble with my homework." "Oh my God, will you be expelled?"
(d) "I won the scratch off Lottery today." "Can I borrow $3000?"
(e) "My mother's coming for a visit."
(f) "Mom, I think I cut my finger.", "Oh Lord, let me call the hospital."
(g) "I saw Dolly Parton walking down the street today." "Quick, tell me. Is she really that...?
All of the reactions to simple statements are magnified into stupid assumptions. Well, maybe not (g), but that's another story.
The same goes for Bankroll. Bankroll does not necessarily mean gigantic. Bankroll is the amount of money you have to wager for that day or week.
It could be $3000 or $1000 or $500 or $100.
Sure, you'd like to have more money to gamble with, to spend, to invest, to buy things with. Accept that fact or be a dreamer, like my friend, Bea A. Dreamer.
Whatever the amount of money you take to the casino, that's your Bankroll. Whatever amount you have to gamble on sports for a week, that's your Bankroll.
If you ain't got the patience to grind out small wins to add to your present Bankroll and slowly increase the amount of your wagers gradually, then you lack the patience and the intelligence to tackle sports betting.
Bankroll is the amount of money YOU have to wager and it does not have to big, like you know who.
