With some bets offering a 0% house edge, Craps gives smart players a better opportunity to win than almost anything else you’ll find on the gaming floor. Besides great odds, Craps is a high-speed game that is both exhilarating and challenging. Not all casino software providers offer craps. From a programmer’s point of view it is one of the trickiest games online. Odds On Software is one of the major software providers that do offer Craps, and the strategies below work to their Crap game rules.
The ultimate Craps bet is the “Free Odds” bet available after you play a pass line bet. The Free Odds bet derived its name from the simple fact that the house has zero advantage over the player on that bet. However, to place the Free Odds bet, you first must place a Pass Line bet at a 1.14% house edge. Once the point is established, after the come-out roll, you can place up to the amount of your original bet on the odds to 'back' your Pass Line bet.
For example, if you were betting $5 on a Pass Line bet and the Point gets set to '4', you could stake up to $5 on the Free Odds bet. To place your free odds bet simply click the area directly below your original Pass Line bet. If on the next roll a '4' is hit, you win your Pass Line bet, plus the additional Free Odds bet. In this case, the odds bet pays out 2 to 1. What determines the payout on odds bets is the actual number the Point is set to (because some Points are easier to hit than others). If the Point is set to 4 or 10, odds bets pay out at 2 to 1. If the Point is set to 5 or 9, odds bets pay out at 3 to 2 and if the Point is set to 6 or 8, odds bets pay out at 6 to 5.
But if this was all there were to the game, regular players would quickly die of boredom. Looking deeper into this exciting game we have outlined a few classic Craps strategies.
In this scenario, you wait until the shooter has made his/her point before placing your bets. After the Point is made you will place two units of say $12.00 on both the 6 and 8. After one hit, you will ask the Dealer to come down one unit on both the 6 & 8. You now have a $2.00 profit and can no longer get hurt by the Seven. In addition, you now have $12.00 working for you. After another hit, bring down all bets and wait for the roller to make his/her Point or 7 out, then start the process over. On two hits your net profit is: $21.00. Depending on how confident you are, you can come down after the first hit and profit $14.00 or keep betting on the 6 & 8. If you prefer to keep your bets riding make sure that both the 6 & 8 are covered.
This is a very simple Craps strategy. After having placed your online Craps bet with each winning dice roll, you will increase your current wager by the same amount as the original. Every time you lose, you'll bet the current amount minus the initial wager.
As long as you are winning you will continue to raise your bets, and conversely, when you start losing, you'll place the same bets, but in a descending order.
The objective of this strategy is to win on any number thrown except a Seven. Don't place any bets on the Don't Pass or Pass Line, but wait until a Point has been established. Place two units on 5, 6, & 8. Place one unit on the Field.
Results: This method is a little riskier than the previous online craps strategies since your total monetary risk is $39.00. Therefore, it is suggested that you remove all bets after three rolls. Should the shooter hold the dice for at least three rolls, you will stand to win anything from $15.00-$27.00
There are lots of ways to win at Craps, but first you need to experiment with strategies in order to determine what works best for you.
