“We’re in a position to push the envelope with our games,” said Tim Johnson, chairman of Carmen Media Group, the owner of Belle Rock Entertainment, “expanding and refining our core offerings.”
The new games include European roulette; double joke power poker; and Avalon video slot machines. The games are available at the leading brands of the Gibraltar-based company’s online casinos, including www.RiverBelle.com, www.GamingClub.com, www.JackpotCity.com, and www.Luckynugget.com.
Setting a mood
According to Johnson, the European roulette game offers “razor sharp” visuals, and ambient sounds, which set a mood, as well as “bet timers” to give players an authentic roulette experience – all online.
The double joker power poker allows players to play up to 100 hands of video poker at a time – testing anyone’s concentration, wit, and, perseverance.

More options
These offshore options offer gamers a legal way to enjoy themselves during their downtime, and are flourishing. Lawmakers in many locales, including North Carolina, are considering rethinking their rules on video poker, however, due to the success of the online games.
The state Senate of North Carolina recalled a bill this week which was just approved last week that would ban video poker statewide. This came after some members raised questions about the measure.
Senators unanimously agreed to reconsider the bill before sending it to the House while the effect of a provision added last week could be examined with an “abundance of caution," said Sen. Tony Rand, D-Cumberland, head of the Senate Rules Committee.
The Senate scheduled another vote soon on the bill. Four times since 2000, the Senate there has voted to ban video poker. But the state House has not voted on a ban since then.
House Speaker Jim Black (D-Mecklenburg) has been video poker's largest booster in the legislature, arguing that the industry is legal and generates thousands of jobs. The new, online offerings are changing the way that everyone – including lawmakers – are viewing the gaming industry, which has gone totally high-tech .
