Resorts International Launches Destination Casino Club

The Resorts Destination Casino Club debuted last week and will link all Resorts International properties such as the Las Vegas Hilton, the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort, Resorts Atlantic City, Resorts East Chicago, Resorts Tunica Casino Hotel and Bally’s Tunica.

“We are well positioned in the major gaming markets throughout the country, and we are rewarding our loyal players in each of our markets by linking benefits to all of our destinations,” said Roger Wagner, chief operating officer of Resorts International Holdings LLC…“By creating our Resorts Destination Casino Club program, we simultaneously give each Resorts International-affiliated property the flexibility to meet the needs of its guests while benefiting all of our players company-wide.”

The Resorts Destination Casino Club card, the official players' card of Resorts International, will be available in three tiers, Classic (red), Elite (silver) and Ultra (black). In addition to earning in-market comps and cash back, Resorts Destination Casino Club members also earn “Destiny Dollars,” which are portable comps earned in one Resorts International market and redeemable across all other Resorts International markets.

Destiny Dollars can be redeemed for rewards like hotel rooms, food and show tickets. Redeeming Destiny Dollars does not affect your local comp balance and cash offers are not affected.

“We designed three tiers to benefit all levels of play,” said Wagner, “and we wanted our players to have the portability of earning special ‘Destiny Dollars’ in Atlantic City, for example, and spending them in Las Vegas.”

To reach elite status, players need to accumulate 1,500 Tier Credits based on play at any Resorts International destination. To reach Ultra status, 8,000 earned Tier Credits are required within six months.

Casino players will be able to sign up for their Resorts Destination Casino Club card at the promotions center located in each casino. Resorts Destination Casino Club members can access their accounts, issue comps, and more at designated kiosks located throughout the casino. As an added convenience, members can utilize one card at all Resorts International properties. Members must be at least 21 years old.

In other Resorts International related news, Atlantic City Hilton guests are getting a new player’s club, which will debut before the end of the year. The multi-million 10,000 square foot club features a full buffet, ocean views and flat panel televisions. The club, which has yet to be named, will be able to accommodate up to 500 people at a time. The facility replaces the Empress Garden Chinese restaurant, which should return in a different incarnation in the future.

“The size of the [new] room will also enable us to take care of more players. We are rolling out a new card program that ties us in with other Colony/Capitol properties, and the top two tiers will be given access to the room, which is a lot more than what we were able to accommodate in the Chairman’s Club,” said Tony Rodio, regional president of Hilton and Resorts Atlantic City in an interview with the Press of Atlantic City. “From the time that we closed the Chairman’s Club to make room for Asian gambling, I knew this was an amenity that would be difficult for us to overcome,” says Rodio, who notes a temporary club in a banquet hall is still being used. “Frankly, that’s not a great experience. A brand new room like this gives our players the experience they deserve.”

Resorts Atlantic City, The Atlantic City Hilton, Resorts East Chicago, Resorts Tunica, Bally’s Tunica and the Las Vegas Hilton are all Resorts International casinos affiliated through Colony Capital LLC and Nicholas L. Ribis. Colony Capital LLC is a private investment firm whose affiliates are licensed in four gaming jurisdictions: New Jersey, Nevada, Indiana and Mississippi.
