New Software Helps Online Casinos Build Multi-Lingual Sites
The software was developed by CyberArts LLC, and is an upgrade of its "Foundation" software platform for developers of online gaming services.
The new version helps developers "minimize the risk" associated with the U.S. government's recently-passed Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which includes certain provisions that would prohibit America-based banks and credit card companies to make payments to online gambling sites, said Chris Derossi, co-founder and CEO of CyberArts.
"Casino developers want to continue to diversify their online gaming offerings, and serve non-U.S. players in any part of the world," said Derossi. "Major online poker sites can safely continue their financial growth in regions unaffected by the Safe Ports Act."
Derossi, already known in the poker world as the co-author of "Winning at Internet Poker for Dummies," one of the popular titles from the "For Dummies" series. He has more than 20 years of leadership at top technology companies including Apple Computers, where he served as chief architect of Macintosh Operating System 7 before starting CyberArts.

Software powered by CyberArts runs the online poker rooms for Mansion.com, Tony G Poker and Apuestas.com, and has long been established as a pioneer in gaming technology, according to industry experts.
The company has a ten-year history, developing and operating GamesGrid, the world's first graphical online backgammon club, and also created the ground-breaking platform to support the "next generation of online gaming," said Derossi.
The new, customized platform for sophisticated marketers helps firms requiring strong branding capabilities, flexible and innovative functionality, as well as support for multiple languages and currencies. The Foundation software is the world's only gaming platform that is fully licensable, allowing companies to quickly and easily build and launch their own branded, customized online gaming service, said Derossi. "The platform supports poker, backgammon, casino, and nearly any other type of game," he added.
The software, what is more, has completed the certification process by the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority, meaning it is approved for operation in a jurisdiction with a legalized gaming industry. The software also been tested to support ten of thousands of simultaneous users with extensive fail-safe mechanisms, said Derossi; noting that the World Poker Tour and others will also be switching to the software platform in the "near future."
The company is also planning, executives said, to debut a new online gaming service within the next three months.
