Our dear friend the Dude has been so taken by site Interpoker.com recently that he’s gone all British on us. Jolly strange chap, if you ask me!

 

Pip pip! Sounded like a bloody Brit for a second; had you almost fooled didn’t I? Blimey! I almost fooled myself. But my native born Californian blood streaming through my veins is a solid reminder (for me) that ‘pip-pip’ is not the lingo. But I choose this term to introduce the jovial jocularity that I think most Brits embrace.

 

Why am I referring so much to our friends across the pond? Well, I like Brits. I really do. I thank them every July fourth for giving Americans the opportunity to have another day off (for you non- Americans, that’s Independence Day). I also like their Queen. I like Monty Python and Mr. Bean, and I like the popular (and not so popular) music they’ve churned out for the past forty odd years. And I love London – the fish and chips are good, and the beer is okay. Soho is a bitchin’ place to be. But one thing that I really like is Interpoker.com – a London based poker room.

 

Interpoker.com is brought to you by the folks behind Intercasino – one of the best casinos in cyberland. Interpoker meets the standards set by this top group. It also belongs to the Cryptologic network which includes a number of skins including Betfair, Caribbean Sun, Classic Poker, Littlewoods, Poker Plex, Ritz Club London, Total Bet, UK Betting and William Hill. Some of these poker rooms do not allow players. Bleeding ‘ell!! But you are allowed to have an account at each skin and take the monthly bonuses from each.

 

What is unique about Interpoker is that you can play in US Dollars, UK Pounds, or Euros. You may also transfer your balance between the poker room and the casino if you’re a member of Intercasino.

 

Checking out their website: very basic, but informative. It’s pretty clear on how to get started, and if there are any questions, there is toll-free support 24/7. Downloading and setting up an account was a cinch – except someone already had my user name. Crikey!

 

The poker software is simple to use and navigate. It’s missing some of the bells and whistles that their competitors have integrated into their systems, but I enjoyed jumping into a game or two.

 

They have a full range of games - Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha High, Omaha .

 

Hi/Lo and One-on-One Texas Hold’em. The best game selection is during normal primetime for British, which is about noon until 7pm EST, although it makes good sense to play them a few hours later, when they’re either half asleep or drunk on warm beer. Time differences can have a distinct advantage! The limits range from $1/$2 to $150/$300. Pot limit and no limit games range from $0.50/$1 to $5/$10. Again, these limits can be found in U.S. Dollars, Euros or Pounds.

 

One trippy thing: as I was observing some bloke getting nicked by some skilled players, an invitation to start a new game popped up – the poker room needed players for another table – and they offered to pay me $10 an hour to play, and Bob’s your uncle! Blimey!

 

Okay, okay, I’ll give it a rest - the British lingo just doesn’t jive with me, and it’s not very becoming (in my case). It’s like drinking flat British beer; I’m drinking it, and I’m wondering why – and I’m still drinking it. Anyway, whatever your persuasion may be, give Interpoker.com a spin.
